Good Tunes: Sevendust, 'The Day I Tried to Live'

I love Soundgarden’s “The Day I Tried to Live.” It evokes a lot of good feelings and scenes from my youth. So I was both surprised and skeptical when Rock 108’s Russ introduced Sevendust’s cover by saying it was someone at the station’s favorite version.

Blasphemy!

However, having heard it for the first time, I have to admit it is damn good tune. I can’t say it is my favorite version but I gladly embrace it.
