Good Tunes: Earshot, 'Wait'

Here’s another good tune that is both a blast from the past and oddly fresh and familiar to me: “Wait” by Earshot.

I heard “Wait” yesterday while listening to TRUSTcompany’s radio playlist on Spotify. I like Spotify’s radio feature. It allows me to pick a band and hear songs from similar bands from the same genre and era, which is right up my alley: sometimes I feel like listening to mid-nineties dance à la Ace of Base, sometimes I feel like listening to alt and metal from the early ohs from the likes of Mudvayne and Drowning Pool. I’m unsure how much it changes as I continue listening and liking songs (I dislike being reduced to an algorithm), but it is working well for me right now. “Wait” is a case in point.

I am pretty sure this was all over Rock 108 back in the day. Released in 2004, it feels very 2004. However, I get the odd feeling it has not been that long since I heard it. Perhaps it is still pumped out on 107.9 from time to time.

I find it funny, though, that the video is featured on Warner Records’ “vault.”
