Beer of the Weekend #937: Roboti

The Foxy Lady and I ordered takeout from Lion Bridge Friday night, and I got a sixer of Roboti.

Roboti

The color is a beautiful dark amber with a ruby tint. A finger of off-white head leaves a skim and a collar with some short trails.

The aroma is nice and toasty. There’s toasted malt, cocoa, some molasses, burnt sugar, caramel, and hints of dark berries.

The flavor mirrors the aroma: nice and toasty! The toast and bitterness are prominent and linger on the taste buds. Toasted malt, cocoa, molasses, burnt sugar, caramel, and a hint of berries. It’s a solid and crushable beer.

Fun facts about Roboti:

• Style: Dark mild.

• Price: The receipt I received was not itemized, but I think it was around $10 for a six-pack of 12-ounce bottles.

• Alcohol content: 4.5 percent ABV.

• There is no information about the beer online, but I think it was brewed to coincide with an exhibition at the National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library about robots,
A Century of Robots: From Čapek to Now.

The Quiet Man’s grade: A-.
