(A quarter of a) Helmet sticker for Ricky Stanzi

In an unprecedented move, the “College Football Final” crew gave Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi a quarter of a helmet sticker for his pivotal performance in the fourth quarter of the Hawks’ win over Indiana today. His was the seventh and special helmet sticker given tonight.

Why just a quarter? Those of us who watched every snap know Stanzi was not the manzi for 45 minutes. In the third quarter he went 3-11 for 48 yards and threw four interceptions; in total he had five INTs for the game. However, he seemingly put on a Joe Montana mask for the last period, going 3-3 for 177 yards and two TDs, putting the Hawks ahead for good. He finished the game 13-26 for 337 yards.

Congrats for sticking with it, Ricky.
