Good Tunes: 'Tom Stephan - Essential Mix (2001) | Live DJ Set'

This Essential Mix was recommended after I listened to a different mix. Piqued by anything electronic circa the early ‘00s, I turned on the ol’ Flip 5 and gave it a whirl.

Wow! I stopped what I was doing at one point and said aloud (to nobody since I work from home), “This is insane!”

This is an amazing mix. Broadcast the day before my 19th birthday, this mix is, as the description says, “a masterclass in precision and groove.” I have no clue how I had not heard it yet. (To be fair, there are a lot of Essential Mixes and it’s not like I’m on quest to listen to each one—though that is not a bad idea.)
