Good Tunes: Hoobastank, 'Running Away'



This week’s good tune is courtesy of Bobblehead, who wondered aloud on Twitter last week:


Whoa! I had not thought about Hoobastank in forever and had only a vague recollection of “Running Away,” so I took to YouTube and tracked it down to refresh the memory.

“Running Away” is a pleasant blast from the past. It was on heavy rotation on Rock 108 back in the day and may still be played every now and then. The song definitely fits the sound of the early naughties.

So what happened to Hoobastank? The band is still together, albeit with a different bass player, and is still producing music. Ironically, Hoobastank released its sixth studio album, Push Pull, a few days after Bobblehead’s tweet.

So why are you running away? Is it me? Is it you? I have no clue.
