Good Tunes: Amelie Lens, 'vinyl only home session'

B.Traits played a remix of Amelie Lens’s “Render” on her show recently. It’s a good tune, and I could not resist finding it on YouTube. Among the recommended videos were Lens performing an outdoor show (which captures her energy and focus) and this vinyl-only session she made for her weekly podcast.

I love the vinyl-only session because it is deep, melodic, and builds slowly. Plus, it shows her working the turntables and mixer, methodically preparing each segue. I love watching the crafting that takes place; it reminds me a lot of writing. And there’s a cat. It decides to lie on the records in the chair and refuses to move.
