The Gems of Sharpless: February 19, 2014

What better way to emerge from a post funk than with a trip to Sharpless? To be honest, though, there really was not much out there today. However, there were a few gems.

-Would this be better suited for an Iowa State fan?

-A nice print of Terrace Hill, the Iowa Governor’s Mansion.

-There were a lot of large furniture items at Sharpless today. With a mother attached to heirloom pianos, I am not a fan of big, heavy, awkward, clunky furniture. I always end up helping to move it.

-Holy SHIT! This is exactly like the basketball I used when I first started shooting hoops. I believe I have seen another just like it at Sharpless once before.

-This says it all, though I highly doubt anybody kept liquor in it (or at least I can hope).

-A funny little dish.

-Speaking of cake, this caught my eye. I never even knew checkerboard cake was possible. It is, no doubt, a world wonder.

-It is not everyday one sees a toolbox with light switches. I am pretty sure there is a reason for it but have no clue what it would be.

-What a minute. Wasn’t this movie called Zach and Miri Make a Porno? Yes, but according to the film’s Wikipedia page, some DVD versions were released with a shortened, censored title. Interesting.
