The Novel Diary: Week 53
Word count: 40,082.
I am still working on “Paths.” Frankly, if I were not so pathetic I would have finished it a long time ago, but I seem to want to drag this current revision job on as long as I can. It is getting there, though. However, I need to be more deadline and goal oriented. How about this: I will finish this latest version by next Thursday, January 26.
Reworking the second timeline of the piece is going well, but I fear I am cutting too much and losing a key element. Or, I wonder, perhaps I should cut it out all together. Regardless, the second timeline is now much shorter and much more abstract.
