Beer of the Weekend #1,128: Dive Beer
The beer of the weekend is something I picked up and enjoyed lakeside during our recent vacation in Wisconsin: Dive Beer, brewed by the Lakefront Brewery of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Serving type: 12-ounce can. “BB02SEP2025” was printed on the bottom.
Appearance: Poured into a pilsner glass. It was a clear, clean, light gold color. A dense, billowy, buttery, white colored head settled slowly.
Smell: Light malt and citrus. It was very malty and straightforward.
Taste: Clean, easy, simple, and tasty. Very malty with light toast. It tasted like a brewery smells. It was so malty, I could seemingly taste each grain. It was easy drinking and very crushable.
Fun facts about Dive Beer:
• Style: Lakefront calls it “Milwaukee Lager.”
• Price: $16.99 for a 15-pack of 12-ounce cans at Hansen’s IGA in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Fifteen-packs are something new to me and this may be the first time I have bought one. I saw a weird case size when I was in Vancouver but don’t remember what it was. It may have been 15.
• Alcohol content: 4.2 percent ABV.
The Quiet Man’s grade: B-.
