Fall Shots 2013, #1

After a slow start, the autumn colors are starting to take effect. The oranges and reds are spotty, but the ashes have turned and the leaves are dropping, blowing into corners and lining the curbs. Fallen ash leaves, dry and curled, remind me of the house I grew up in. Each fall, the three massive ash trees in our front yard shed their leaves. They covered everything and we would rake them into massive piles to jump in.
