The Bookworm: I'll get to it — eventually

Ever since finishing About a Mountain in June, I have been crawling through Naomi Klein’s No Logo.

“Crawling” is sugar-coating it. Honestly, I have been picking at it one chapter every blue moon since July. Interestingly, there was a blue moon last month — the last until 2015 or something — but I have, amazingly, read it more often than that. My bookmark is currently stuck between pages 192 and 193, less than halfway though.

Boo!

No Logo is one of those books I have seen everywhere. Chuck Klosterman even mentioned it — though he wrote he could not figure out why it was such a big deal. As slowly as I have been reading it, I have been forming my own opinion. Aside from a lack of time and commitment, part of my sluggishness stems from boredom. For whatever reason, I could not get into it. It was interesting — but so boring. The deeper I read, though, the more engaged I have become. Which is a good thing because I cannot wait to close it for good and put it on my self. Why? Because fall and Fear Street go hand-in-hand.
