The Novel Diary: Week 5
Word counts: 8,640 (Chapter 1); 12,602 (total).
On Thursday I put the finishing touches (at least for now) on Chapter 1, so I met my goal. This week will be a week of planning, brainstorming, and probably nightly pints of Back Roads Stout at Dave’s Foxhead.
That’s right — more dessert. I was there tonight having a pint, writing in my journal, and tuning in and out of the conversation between the bartender and a German artist named Hans. The distractions got my creative juices flowing so I may take my MacBook there while working on Chapter 2. Of course, it could turn out to be insanely annoying and unproductive, but I will not know until I try.
There really is not much to report this week, other than the fact I will enjoy a little down time to catch up on college basketball.
