Good Tunes: Full Intention, 'America (I Love America)'

I rediscovered this gem a while ago and have been meaning to post it for the Fourth of July. I forgot to do it for years, but it turned out to be a good thing. What better time to do it than for America’s 250th?

“America (I Love America)” was included on a compilation CD I bought around eighth grade. I don’t think it was on the same CD as Crush’s “Jellyhead,” but it was in the same era. I had completely forgotten about it until it popped up on a Spotify playlist one day probably six years ago.

I learned recently that Full Intention is a duo made of Jon Pearn and Michael Gray of “The Weekend” and Sex-O-Sonique fame. I apparently really like Gray’s stuff.
