Beer of the Weekend #906: Easy Eddy

The beer of the weekend is Easy Eddy, brewed by the Big Grove Brewery of Iowa City, Iowa.

The color is cloudy golden amber. A half finger of beige, buttery, bubble-spotted head leaves a skim and frothy collar.

The aroma is soft and fruity. There are scents of grapefruit, orange, and mango. It’s bursting with tropical fruit! There are also hints of lemon and caramel malt.

The flavor is smooth and easy drinking. It is not as fruity or tropical as the aroma, but still good. I can’t pin down the flavors because it is such a pleasing and well-balanced medley. Caramel malt intermingles with light grapefruit, orange, a hint of mango, and yeast. It’s earthy, and there is a touch of lemon.
