Good Tunes: Shame, 'Concrete'
Zee German visited the UK recently and sent me links to good tunes he heard while across the pond. Among them was “Concrete” by Shame, which I really like and want to share.
This song evokes British post-punk and rock from the late seventies and early eighties. The sound is very familiar—it makes me think of Joy Division/New Order—but also unique. It also has a nineties garage rock feel too. It is definitely good stuff, and I need to check out Shame’s other material.
