The Novel Diary: Week 42

Word count: 40,082.

There is nothing to report this week. Frankly, I am writing just to fit one last post into October. I have diligently kept this novel diary since the beginning, so why stop just because I did almost no novel-related work in the last week? It never stopped me before.

You know, I am glad my break has taken this long. Autumn is too awesome to miss, too awesome to force myself to sit in front of a computer for two hours a night. There have been way too many distractions. The Hawkeye men’s basketball team begins the 2011-12 campaign on Sunday in an exhibition game, so another is on the way. It is nice to relax, but no work is accomplished. I need to buckle down at some point because December 4 is just around the corner.
