My 2012 NCAA Tourney bracket: RIP

Tonight I shredded my bracket. It was a merciful and fitting end.

Though Ohio State advanced to the semi-finals, every one of my other Final Four teams was bounced. (Damn you, Jayhawks! I like Kansas — I really do — but the Jayhawks always ruin my bracket somehow.) And since I picked OSU to fall to UNC, my bracket was officially dead. Rest in peace, 2012 bracket. It was all my fault.

I have to say, though, it will be nice watching the Final Four without any bias. My gut feeling is that Kentucky and Kansas will be facing off one week from tonight on the raised court in the Superdome. Why the raised court? I cannot remember why. (Probably to rub Tubby Smith’s failure in his face. Bwahahahaha.) Also, “daily” posting of my bracket’s ongoing evisceration proved to be pretty fun. I think I will make it a Quiet Man tradition from now on.
