A massive, 42-point third quarter propelled Team USA past the solid Argentines.

I only watched bits and pieces of the first quarter. The paint was clogged and inside buckets were tough. It looked like the Americans were in for another solid test and I assume it was. However, I was surprised by the final score. I think Manu Ginobili and crew took their foot off the pedal. I do not know that for sure, though, and perhaps Team USA’s depth and endurance took over.

Group play is over and Team USA faces Australia in the quarterfinals. The pressure is on for real because it is one-and-done now.
