Think I watched Barack Obama’s speech last night? Ha! Think again.

All evening and night I was tuned to college football’s kick-off games. From the time I got home to around 10 p.m., I was flipping between ESPN and ESPN2, watching as much of both games — North Carolina State-South Carolina and Oregon State-Stanford — as I could. The west coast game started an hour later, so I reveled in the defensive battle between the Gamecocks and Wolfpack until halftime. Even in spite of the uneventful play, I was in awe.
