Beer of the Weekend #1,166: Pils
The beer last weekend was something that one can buy only at the Field Day Brewing Company taproom in North Liberty, Iowa: Pils.
Serving type: 16-ounce can. “CANNED ON 07-28-26” was printed on the bottom.
Appearance: Poured into a pilsner glass. The color was clean, clear straw to light gold. A dense, white, bubbly head dissipated slowly, leaving spots of foam stuck to the glass.
Smell: Floral and earthy, but muted. It was nice and spicy. There were touches of grass and malt. I also got Ritz crackers.
Taste: Light but earthy and spicy with a lasting bitterness. It was floral as well. Light malt and grass. Nice and crushable.
