Armand Van Helden, "Into Your Eyes"

There are three reasons why I like this video:

1) The song is pretty bangin’. I’m not going to lie: it tickles my house-y side.

2) It is inspired by John Carpenter’s eighties epic, They Live. If you have never seen it, I suggest renting it. It will change your life. (Not.)

3) Sexy women in bikinis.

Sexy ladies who are scantly clad are another reason why I like house videos in general (see: Michael Gray’s “The Weekend”). Armand Van Helden seems to use this to his advantage a lot, especially when the accompanying music is a little subpar (for me, personally). Check out “Shake that Ass” (which is probably closest to crossing over into the realm of softcore porn) and “NYC Beat.”

Conceptually, “Into Your Eyes” has to be one of the best music videos I have seen in a long time, though most of my bias has to do with its channeling of They Live. Enjoy.
